Castle Roller Skating has been a community favorite for 40 years, bringing families, friends, and groups together for fun on wheels!

Mission

Our goal is to always provide outstanding entertainment and guest service in a safe environment. We are constantly striving to be certain that every guest is having safe fun. This is the key to The Castle being "The Fun Place For The Entire Family"! 

Our History

​Castle Roller Skating Rink, once the Maple Grove Sports Arena, has entertained Lancaster for decades, from boxing and wrestling in the 1930s and 1940s to skating in the 1950s. In a $1.3 million transformation, Richard and Mary Ann Honabach remodeled the space with a medieval castle theme, complete with knights, dragons, towers, and a decorative drawbridge. Today, Castle offers public skating, classes, and special events, continuing its legacy as a hub of fun and community.​

Skating Policies

  1. ALL skates, regardless of type, MUST have stops / toe plugs, and those stops or plugs must be in good condition.

  2. NO Black Stops / Toe Plugs Are Permitted.

  3. ALL Roller Blades MUST HAVE Rink-Safe Hardware. No Exposed Hardware Can Be Permitted.

Rental Skates

Admission Charge Policies

For renting, we have regular quad skates starting in a child’s tiny size 7 and going up to an adult size 15. For inlines we have from a child’s size 13 to an adult size 13.   The inlines are available on a limited basis, with a few pairs of each size.

We have 2 different admission fees for all sessions.  There is one price for admission for a person who is skating (Skating Admission), and another for a person who is only watching and not skating (Spectator Admission).  All persons entering the building must pay an admission fee.

Credit Cards

We accept all credit cards!

Outside Food Policy

Absolutely NO outside food and drink (including bottled water) will be permitted to pass the front counter. The only exception to this policy is with one of our RESERVED Birthday Party Packages, we are able to allow in a cake or cupcakes.
